Note about below entry

I just wanted to make a note about my comments on males in the below entry...

I didn't write what I wrote to offend any of the gentlemen that read my journal (if there are any besides Gazker and Russikins <grinning at Russ>)  the one's I mentioned below are NOT gentlemen, they are idiots.  I have had in my past some very bad experiences with men and things like that bring about memories I'd rather not remember at any time but they will always be there (the memories) luckily because of the PTSD (post traumatic stress disorder for those of you that don't know) I have lots of empty spaces in my memory, for which I know I can be grateful seeing as how what I DO remember makes me feel.

So please, do not be offended or hurt.  I don't view all men the same, just slugs like the one's I've mentioned below.

Love you******

Experiences of a Waitress Pt. 1

Good Morning All !

I'm attempting to make more frequent entries so if I seem "harried ~ scarried" please forgive lol.
I don't know if I've mentioned before but I work as a waitress in a italian restaurant...a pretty popular one.  It's hard to be able to become a server at this place because of the training involved etc.  you have to completely memorize the menu, each ingredient in every dish, every wine etc.  I am good enough and have been doing this long enough that it really wasn't any problem for me.
Well, let me tell you, I can tell you some horror stories about the "guests" - I swear some of them have never been taught about dining out etiquette i.e. tipping practices etc. The kind of "guest" I hate waiting on the most are middle age single office women (I say this because they very apparently work in a office somewhere) and men in their 50's that come in the place wearing polyester and knit with their guts hanging out over the belt. Makes me shudder just thinking about it.

Okay, the women...at lunch time you know they come in on a limited time bracket.  They inevitably chose soup and salad (unlimited) and they want this, they want that, very picky creatures.  Some order dessert afterwards - I've noticed that some order the dessert taking the longest amount of time to make very close to the time they need to leave to get back to work, then they complain about the time and say they need it to go - we have to get one of the managers involved then, whenever there is any type of discontent showed.  Then of course, the manager has to give them their dessert free because of the length in time it took.  Can we say that to me it almost equates to fraud or stealing.  THEN they leave you the crappiest tips imaginable, doesn't matter that they received damned good service...they tip miserably RARELY do they tip even 15%, I'm sure that gives you a clue as to what they do tip.  In Texas servers only make $2.13 an hour + tips - in Oregon I made at the time $6.35 and hour + tips.  I hate those kinds of "guests" I feel like saying to them, if you aren't prepared to tip for demanding services of me, then you need to go to McDonalds or Burger King.  Not here.  Servers remember people like that and you can almost be guaranteed that you won't get good service the next time you come in - you mess with our income? then don't be surprised to make your next dining experience as miserable as possible.  That may seem small, but I'm sorry how would you feel if your boss started taking small amounts of money out of your bank account for fraudulent reasons?   to me that is what it is.  So remember little things like that the next time you go out to eat in a restaurant, tip accordingly at least 15% because you WILL be remembered & the word passed around to other servers so they will know you when you next come in. LOL.
As far as the males that I mentioned?   A day earlier this week, they look and treat you like "the little woman" or like a hooker. They leer at you, make comments etc.
This one "male" reached out and grab me around my waist and was calling me Mother Teresa (like the other a**holes at the table) and said "yea, I know what I'd like to do to YOU little lady" well, I'm not little by any means lol  I'm voluptuous.  I looked at him like he was the scum of the earth ( which to my mind at that point he WAS scum of the earth) and said perfectly straight faced..."yes, and I know what I'd like to do to you" and yanked his arm from around my waist.  To me?  no one has the right to touch you without your permission, period.  I've grabbed males around the throat for less...or grabbed their balls and threatened to rip them off and shove them down their throats for touching me.  I don't like being touched for the exception of very few people.  Maybe I'm strange about that I don't know.  Whatever, it's theway I am.  So, last night I was sitting at the kitchen table with Cindy eating and I mentioned this happening to her... the b/f said I should expect that kind of behavior from men sometimes.  I looked at her and said "I'm not a prostitute or a whore and I don't work in a strip club or someplace like that, NO ONE has a right to touch me without my permission, period."  Got me riled up.  I felt like saying "do you allow men to grope you where you work?"  I wanted to say some other things to but I didn't.  I behaved.

The temperatures are finally dropping even more here, I love it.  Seems like I've been waiting forever for this time to get here.  The boys are loving it also...they are able to stay out in their run longer and play.
Tonight, I'm going to fix dinner  ~ Breaded Pork Chops, Homemade Mashed Potatoes and a veggie...not sure what tho.  I have GOT to get Cindy to try something besides green beans, creamed corn, carrots or canned peas (she hates frozen peas, has to be canned peas) or pinto beans LOL.

Alright, I'm out of here.  Thought practice just plummeted LOL.

hum drum pt. 2 (NOW it's back???) where the heck was it this morning??? (the entry before this

Okayyyyyyyyyy, seems as if AOHell did in my last entry so I am attempting to rewrite what I did yesterday   It's still not acting right or at least with me it's not.

I hope this entry finds everyone happy, even just a little bit so.  I know that it's not always the case and as human beings we are as susceptible to sadness or discontent as anyone else.  Heck, I know I have to fight to be optimistic quite a bit personally
Cindy & I got the new fencing and new gates done this weekend, She did a wonderful job and She's so proud of herself    I'm proud of her too!!  The boys are loving the new run... Also managed to get some of the trees on the property trimmed up,  just have to get it all gathered and taken to the dump (remember we are in a pretty rural area) Cindy is talking about getting a couple of burn barrels to burn the leaves once they start really falling, in order to do that though we will need to get a bit more rain ~ it's too dangerous to do that otherwise.
She (Cindy) has developed something wrong with her right wrist and forearm, we are thinking Carpel Tunnel, but we aren't sure - she has a cyst on the outside of her right wrist that might be the culprit also ... it seems to have increased in size and it might have attached itself to some of the nerves there and that could be the problem, either way She has an appointment with a couple of specialists in the next couple weeks to check it out and see if she will need surgery.  She really needs her right hand and arm because of the kind of work She does.  It is imperative really.  I will warm up some towels when she get's home and wrap them around her arm for awhile to see if thatrelieves the pain any.  I hope so
Speaking of Rain, we had a wonderful day of it yesterday, storms to my hearts content and it's getting COOLER thank goodness.  It is supposed to rain tomorrow also so I will keep my fingers and toes crossed for that to happen.
Took the Boys in to be groomed on Saturday and they were SO not happy about that but they looked so nice, clean (we bathe them weekly), freshly trimmed, their claws trimmed etc.  Since I had to work Cindy and her b/f went to pick them up and Cindy says they were so  happy to be out of there and back home it was laughable almost.
I'm gone, I can't think of anything else I might have written yesterday
Hugz and *************** to all of you.

hum drum

Life is going...going...on  LOL.  I hope this entry finds everyone ok.  Not much been going on in this neck of the woods really, just the usual work, work and more work; either for myself or for Cindy ~ last weekend She finished the backyard fencing project for the boys, this weekend she got the gates done...the boys love it (I think you can tell by the photos below).  I love those dogs with a passion...Heathen and Kizmet too of course.  Heathen has taken it into his head that the dog's bones (toys) are HIS.  Sheesh, he lays all over them and when the boys try to get them back he hisses at them, doesn't hurt them or anything just hisses, like back off bro... you gave up your chance, now they are MINE!! (laughing).  It's so funny to see.

It's been raining all day today, I was up at 4 a.m. this morning and it started storming at 4:25 and it's been raining off and on all day... I LUV it.  We haven't had a good rain in a while now and we needed it badly.  The weather also has started to slowly but surely cool down.  I'm very happy about that also.

As some of you know I love horror movies.  This coming Friday (the 19th) the horror movies start at night through Halloween.  Isn't that excellent??  I'll be recording them while we are asleep because Cindy doesn't particularly care for horror flicks... soooooooo I have to watch them by myself (sigh).  Most Haunted on the Travel Channel has finally started their new season too...as well as Ghost Hunters on the Sci Fi Channel.  I wish I knew why I enjoyed this kind of programming so much... but anything Paranormal instantly has my attention.

Okay, going to go for now... will write again this week.

Hugz and Blessings to all of you.***********

New pictures of the "boys"

A few of you have requested updated photo's of the boys ~ here are a couple from when they were a couple weeks old & some new one's. They are kind of blurry 'cuz we couldn't get them to stay still enough for the digital camera, but you will get the idea.  There are also a couple of some flowers from our back yard, don't know what they are called just know I like them :)

 "Draco"

         "Lares"

For those of you that don't know... Lares was the first born of the litter and Draco was the last born... Draco looks just like  his Momma.

The boys when they were  few weeks older ~ aren't they sweet?

Draco "herding" his brother...remember, they are "working" dogs... they herd EVERYTHING  lol.

"wrestling"      I can jump higher than you! (like I said "blurry" couldn't get them to be still !

One of the slower moments LOL

definite slower moment... like they are saying "what do YOU want??? can't you see we are BUSY??

Draco is thinking..."I am SO ignoring you"

believe it or not, another "herding" movement...

ya tired? I'm tired...breathe dang it, breathe...

  weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

 another "weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee" moment... LOL

The End.

Vacancy - that area between my ears? it's missing something LOL

tag by Donna over at "This and that and Hockey"

Good Morning !

Well, not much has been happening in our neck of the woods (insert deep sigh here) <grinning>.
So far Autumn seems to have forgotten it is supposed to be "happening" - though a few of the trees in this area are starting to change. The temperature? that's another matter entirely <scowl> it's still hot as blazes, only the early morning is it somewhat cooler - Mother Nature fooled me drat it. It's been in the 90's by afternoon.

At the moment, the boys are in the run (for those that don't know the term "boys", they are our border collie puppies 9 going on 10 months old) and they are running their little hearts out and wrestling with each other.  They are so sweet .  Heathen is "heathen", Kissy? She's still shy as usual.
I was thinking this morning that I have no idea what the world events are...used to be I'd know most everything major happening - not now  been working & taking care of things here I've not had time to really watch the news or current affairs.  I DO know that Britney Spears had her kids taken away, Pamela Anderson is considering getting married again lol.

Ghost Whisperer premiered with it's season last Friday, was working last night so Cindy recorded the show for me last night.  I think my fav shows so far this season are, of course, Ghost Whisperer,  Kville, CSI Miami, Ghost Hunters, CSI NY, CSI (the original), Bones, The Unit, Bionic Woman, Criminal Minds to name a few.  I've been waiting for "Most Haunted" (it's on the travel channel on Friday nights) to start it's new season yet so far it's only been reruns...hope they do have a new season.
Cindy has been building a fenced in  back yard so the boys will have a larger play area - started last weekend, hopefully will be finished this weekend.  They will love it I'm sure.  We will be seeing about getting the jet ski's "winterized" soon so they won't be a problem once summer rolls around again.
My friend Terry seems to be doing ok, she is still mourning about Alfie's loss, but she will pull through it.  With my schedule etc. it's been hard keeping in contact with her like I'd like.

Okay, that's enough for now...hope everyone has a great weekend!!

Blessings,
Teresa
